## Step 1: Create your Nile Portal account&#x20;

Get started by setting up your Nile Control Center Portal account, your central hub for managing Nile Access Service.

**Steps to Get Started:**

1. **Welcome Email**
   1. The customer will receive a welcome email from Nile introducing them to your dedicated service delivery manager (SDM).
2. **Registration**
   1. Click the link in the email to complete a quick [registration form](https://www.nile-global.cloud/) and create your organization’s tenant and setup login.
3. **Approval & Password Setup**
   1. Once approved, the customer will get an email from Nile to set your password.
4. **Invite Team Members**
   1. From the [Nile Portal](https://u1.nile-global.cloud/), the customer be able to add other members from their organization.  This includes the ability to add their partner(s) domain and individuals as administrators if desired.
5. **Service Area Setup**
   [Setup Service Areas](docId\:M0t6wvhGlM1aU6ECyhJ10) in the Nile Portal. These are the sites, buildings, and floors where you want the Nile Access Service

## Step 2: Data Gathering and Shipping

Each service begins with a complete, high-performance design based on your unique needs.

**What to Expect:**

1. **Site Survey**
   1. &#x20;Once your service areas are set up on the Nile portal, your Nile Service Delivery Manager (SDM) will contact you to schedule a site survey.  This will be a joint effort between Nile, the cusomer, and their resell partner.
2. **Design & BoM**
   1. We’ll provide a detailed design and Bill of Materials (BoM) that meets Nile's guaranteed performance standards.
3. **Equipment & Installation**
   1. Your SDM will order equipment and schedule with the customer/partner for on-site activation of the Nile devices.   The on-site activation will be performed by the customer and or partner with remote Nile support.&#x20;

## Step 3: Prepare for Installation

Ensure your environment is fully ready to install your Nile Access Service by reviewing key architecture and configuration details. Please set up your router/firewall and Nile Portal before the Nile installation day to ensure a seamless migration.&#x20;

**What to Expect:**

1. **Nile Service Block Architecture**
   Get familiar with the [Nile's Service Block Architecture](docId\:jH9vebKBsYFAZvOoCXfa4), and understand the difference between core vs context.&#x20;
2. **Network Migration**
   Learn about the network migration process, specifically [Nile's Layer 3 architecture](docId\:vdtpjGhgaKNNdgALyXBGX), which eliminates traditional VLAN's and go through the [Migration process](docId\:BZibyF7A30TITJPjPZidS) page to plan your network migration.&#x20;
3. **Routing & Firewall Configuration**
   Set up your [routers and firewalls](docId\:h6oC0CVuNw0EloWbtPmXF) for seamless integration and also refer to the  vendor specific integration guides.&#x20;
4. **Nile Portal Setup**
   Configure your [Wireless SSIDs](docId\:DxkV9k5jEYWx3p9RWnxLU) and set up [MAC Authentication](docId\:knkxJNiQ0i0A2LP_4VQ-y) for wired devices within the Nile Portal so that you can begin testing once the Nile Service Block is activated.

## Step 4: Installation & Activation of Your Nile Access Service

Nile will handle all the necessary infrastructure installation to get your network up and running efficiently.

**What to Expect:**

1. **Infrastructure Setup**
   1. Our team will work with the customer and their partner to install Nile access points, sensors, access switches, and distribution switches across your site to ensure comprehensive coverage.
2. **Testing & Validation**
   1. After installation, we will thoroughly test the Nile infrastructure to ensure everything meets Nile’s high-performance standards and is ready for seamless operation.
3. **Customer Device Testing**
   1. Once the installation is complete, you can start testing your client devices for connectivity, ensuring that both wireless and wired devices are functioning properly.
4. **Wired Device Setup**
   1. Begin plugging in wired devices such as cameras printers, and other critical equipment to confirm network access and performance.
5. **Customer Success Manager Assignment**
   1. You’ll be introduced to your dedicated Nile Customer Success Manager (CSM), who will be your primary point of contact for ongoing support, ensuring your service continues to perform at its best.
